New Year


I don’t like the New Year. I think is a ridicule date without importance, it’s only an excuse for drink.  However, I celebrate this date all the years with my family. For my family is more an excuse to meet with my others relatives.

The past year, I celebrate the New Year with my parents and brothers and also with my uncles and my cousins. We were in my house and we made a roast in the backyard. It was very nice. While we ate, my uncles and my parents told us anecdotes when I with my uncles was children and made pranks.

The best moment of the night was when, while we waiting the midnight, we start a competition of karaoke. The majority of us were out of tone, but the important was to know the lyrics. It was very funny, a good moment.

In the midnight, we made the traditional ritual: we count…10…9….8…7…6…5…4…3…2…1… Happy New Year! And we hugged.

We saw the fireworks on TV and also we heard fireworks in my neighborhood, but didn’t see it. There is much building for all the places.

After all, the past New Year was very cool. I don’t like the date, but the moment with my family was nice.

Environmentally




I think that in this country there isn’t a conscience about the careful of environmentally. In the school, the teachers talk about this subject for the obligatory curriculum, but not to create a really conscience about this. Lamentably, I haven’t incorporated recycling habits… I think that is because the rhythm of the life do that this isn’t a priority. I had recycled sometimes in some glass recycle container in the outside of supermarkets. I think that other problem is the lack of places to recycler… should have one on every corner.
I don’t use bike, but I like walking… but the majority of the time, I use the public transport to go to the place to other, it is for thing of time.
I agree with the eco-organizations, but I think that is necessary a global conscience to achieve changes in the world. I would like to create organizations in the neighborhood to recycler every month.
I try in my house to reduce the unnecessary use of the light or the water, like the use of the lamps in the day or the excessive time in the shower.
I think that most important that places to recycle in Santiago, is to create conscience in the citizens. It is necessary a different education for all, we need to understand that we are part of a same planet, that if we damage the Earth, we damage ourselves.

"Gold Miner", my favorite game.




I’m not a fanatic of the videogames, but sometimes I play online games in internet.
My favorite game is “Gold Miner”. It’s a really simple game. “Gold miner” is about a miner that must pick up gold and diamonds with a pincers. The game consist in push a bottom of the keyboard for to release the pincers that is balancing just in the moment that is in the correct direction to pick up gold.  Each level has a goal of money and a limit time. The game has many obstacles, like rocks and bones.

I play this game sometimes in the weekends when I’ m exhausted of to think or of to do some productive. I like this game, because is really simple and I mustn’t think too much, only calculate the angles and to be concentrate.

I never complete the game, after the level ten is impossible for me… But, I don’t care… I play for fun.

Daido Moriyama's best photograph




The article I have chosen is related to photography, it is talks about of a photographer and his process and his interests when he takes a photograph.

Daido Moriyama, the photographer, talks about his work. He says that the majority of his work is made on the street, because he likes the cities and visits the people that he encounters there. One example of that, is a photograph of a stray dog lost… in this kind of thing he catches his eye. But sometimes he wants to shoot more erotically charged scenes, such as a woman in tights or a woman's lips.

One of his favorite photographs is “Tights”. He tells that one occasion he was drinking coffee with his girlfriend when he caught a glimpse of her legs. She was dress tights in her legs. He took two rolls of film in under an hour and he spent three hours printing the photographs.

He says that to be a photographer is a constant battle with countless fragments; the camera allows get close to a subject and captures its detail. The photography shows the legs with a geometrical surface, causing the sensation of movement in the legs. Daido Moriyama says: “The world appears very erotic in my eyes”.
